Notice coming on different address

Hello sir , my wife has filed maintaince case on me and she has demanded 1lakh per month but the court notice is coming on delhi address and i stay in mumbai notice also have my mumbai addresscbut it doesnt come here and noone stay in delhi and this time postman just droped the notice without taking receiving from anyone. i got to know from my tenants . What should i do in this case. all notice are coming on delhi address

If you have got the information regarding the case that is filed against you then you should definitely attend the court proceedings or else some adverse order may also be passed against you or warrants can also be issued against you. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

You should file an application before the concerned Family Court for amendment of memo of parties to get your address change or just a simple application that you don't reside at that particular Delhi address.

Dear sir If you think that avoiding the court notices will keep you safe from the court proceedings, you are mistaken. It is very likely that the notice will be deemed to be served upon you without you even actually receiving it, as the law is clear upon that point. It is also possible that your right to file your reply also gets closed and you will come close to losing your case. You may consult me in that regard as to what you should actually do.
