Being a govt employee you cannot claim maintenance as such. Alimony comes into play after divorce. It will be futile to go against your husband when he has no income and property. But if he has some ancestral properties then you can make claim on his share only for your child. And if he is managing some properties of your in-laws then you can claim on the income from the properties as income or earning. If the properties are self acquired by your in-laws then you cannot make any claim. You can claim maintenance and settlement for your children.
