I understand the difficult situation you are going through. From what you describe, your husband’s behavior amounts to mental cruelty, which is a valid ground for divorce under Section 13(1)(ia) of the Hindu Marriage Act. Since you are already managing your work and child alone without support, you have the right to seek legal remedies. You can file a petition for divorce, and along with it, seek custody of your child, maintenance for yourself and your child, and protection orders under the Domestic Violence Act if needed. Before proceeding, I suggest you document incidents of abuse, financial neglect, and any communication that shows his behavior. This will help strengthen your case in court. You are right in seeking clarity, and legally you do have strong grounds to take action.
