Your friend is legally protected. Her husband’s consent is not required for divorce if there is cruelty, dowry harassment, and abandonment. She can get child custody, maintenance for herself and the child, and free legal aid even without money. The law supports her dignity and the child’s welfare—she should not fear or stay silent. You can suggest your friend to file a contested divorce case against her husband. Your Friend can file a maintenance case also and apart from this I need to know the details of the matter of your friend. For any legal assistance feel free to contact. Thanks

Hello, even if your friend's husband is not willing to give divorce, you can contest a divorce case on the grounds of cruelty and desertion. Your friend is also entitled to get maintenance amount from the husband for her and the children's welfare. she can also file a case under domestic violence act and pray for protection orders and monetary reliefs.
