Name restoration after divorce

My divorce case is about to get finalised. How do I restore my maiden name? Is the divorce decree enough? I also plan to change my child’s name as well. In which order should I take care of these?

Dear Madam, File a Petition Submit a name change application to your local court. Newspaper Publication: The court mandates an announcement in two local newspapers. Public Objections: A period is given for any public objections to your name change.
