Name change for son without divorce

My son is 5 year old and we want to change my son’s middle name from father’s name to mother’s name and surname. I have got it changed on Aadhar card. Is it possible to change the middle name on birth certificate too without a divorce

Interesting query ! please check with the said hospital, whether they have attended or honored any similar request in the past. However note that law has to also recognize status and rights of a biological father of a child. Birth certificates is meant for recognising biological father/ mother of a child, which also has evidentiary relevance in succession and adoption and such similar proceedings. Hence think from all perspectives before taking further steps. should you require further consultation, please do contact.
