My wife father filed complaint on me

My wife filed sec9. I filed sec 13 1 ia. No kids. Now after 2 years she filed sec 498a case. Yesterday her father filed sec290 on me and my father. If I accepted petty case and paid the fine will impact my divorce case and 498 case against on me. How to play petty case in favour to me.

Dear Sir,
Petty case is petty case as such it would have no implications. You may approach High Court for quashing of criminal case. In the meanwhile get clubbed both the family cases and lead common evidence. If the Court is delaying then approach High Court for early disposal and a direction may be given to the Family Court to dispose both the cases within a span of next four months.
