My husband wants to separate from me, I have decided this is the best.

21-Nov-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hello, nMy husband wants to separate from me, I have decided this is the best too because he cannot keep me happy. My question is we were married in church but did not register the marriage at a sub register office. Is the church certificate considered legal meaning we have to file for a divorce or we do not need a divorce since it's not legally registered?nnThanks nMichelle

Kindly refer to the Indian Christian Marriage Act or get in touch with us. We can work on this. Feel free to get in touch with us. If you are serious about getting separated, we recommend a formal divorce. Hope this helps.

the church certificate itself is a prove that you are legally married. just because the marriage is not registered does not mean that you are not legally married and if by any chance the court says that you require a certificate then it is only a 30 days process where and you can get the marriage certificate. hope this resolves your query.
