My husband is cheating on me. Initially I thought he might not like me

08-Nov-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My husband is threatening me all the times and he is saying I won't leave you but he has continued to have extra marital affairs. He gives me bad words and even hits me on instances. Never talks normal. Very much never concerned about the well being of me or my child while illness. Spending lots on himself. Not paying school fees pending and spending on unnecessary things saying I'm spending for you. Only on clothes. Inviting guests at home without making space.

Your matrimonial discord seems to be serious. If You wish you may seek a detailed legal consultation from a lawyer having expertise in matrimonial laws. Do brief him and formulate a strategy going forward. You have certain legal remedies to avail like filing a divorce petition, filing a case under domestic Violence act etc etc

ma'am, it's a clear cut case of domestic violence and you may file a case under sec. 12 DV act against him claiming maintenance for you and your child also in the same petition you may claim compensation, protection order and much more. You may consult me in that regard.

If the behaviour of your husband is intolerable towards you can anytime send a complaint regarding your grievances in writing to the police station according to your jurisdiction. And if you wish to go legal then you can also file a petition under section 12 DV or section 125 CrPC and claim maintenance for yourself. And if there's no scope of living together then rather stretching the relationship you should file for contested divorce under the ground of cruelty. I would suggest you to go with mutual divorce because it's cost effective and ends up in a maximum of six months. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
