My daughter engagement was done in May 2019. In November 2019 I visited his home for fixing marriage date but his parents agreed to fix marriage in the month of May20 but due to pandemic marriage got cancelled and postponed. In November 20 they agreed to fix the marriage in the month of May 21, all arrangements were made but again due to pandemic marriage was postponed. In the month of June we contacted them for two dates for 24 and 28 June 21 but suddenly they stopped responding on phone. Therefore, we visited his home to find out why they are not responding. They informed they don't want to marry his son now. Therefore, I would like to file depermation case against them. I need your guidance and suggestions. My mobile no is 9518314696/ 9405955071. is there any dowry involvement in this marriage? if yes then you can go to police to station for complaint against them under dowry act n if dowry involvement not there n if they are not ready for marriage then to can ask for compensation whatever expenses for marriage for further information you can contact me

Since it is a matter of marriage I would advise to not go for litigation unless you want to only harass them Secondly what is your daughters say on this does she want to marry this guy or no same applies to the guy too it shouldn’t be so that if marriage takes place your daughter is harassed for dowry etc

hi in this case you have to approach the court for damages incurred due to breach of promise of marriage you can claim all expenses and articles exchanged if they don't respond then you can also take criminal action against them
