Mutual divorce turning to dispute

08-Nov-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My wife gave me a legal notice citing divorce by mutual consent. I agreed to it also. We married in 2022 Dec and decided the signing date to be Dec 2023. Now in the legal notice she has mentioned she left house on May 2023, so will I have to wait till May 2024? Our 1yr will get over by Dec 2023. Also we have not registered our marriage. But now she threatens to fight for 15 to 20yrs, when clearly she mentioned to end it mutually. Kindly guide.

Now what was decided between you and your wife is second thing now. At present if your wife has sent you the legal notice then first and foremost thing is that you need to reply to her notice. Because now the talks that had happened earlier are no longer in existence

Well, if she has mentioned to seek Divorce by mutual consent, then, you should also get ready to Divorce her mutually by signing on that Mutual Divorce Petition if you are also interested in Divorcing her, otherwise, your precious years will be wasted if you remain adamant on your demand of not Divorcing her.
