Ma'am, whether marriage was solemnized under Indian laws? Generally indian law mandate a six month cooling period before granting divorce in mutual consent cases. This cooling period can be waived under certain circumstances. Your date of separation becomes crucial to decide when to file a case.

Depending on the length of the marriage between you and your spouse and existence of any reasonable urgency the procedure for divorce by mutual consent can be expedited legally. Based on the facts and circumstances the case may proceed for a maximum of about eight months, and with waiver it will be over within three months. It's all approximation only.
