11-Oct-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am a husband who agreed to pay her 11 lakhs before filing the mutual divorce petition. Half the amount has paid now and she sent a mutual petition to sign.if i also sign for mutual petition, Is it mandatory to appear in sub court for first motion? Also is it good to pay the complete amount before the case filed or during the case?

hello sir, it is mandatory to appear for the case during first motion because it is an divorce case so parties presence is very important. another thing is if you have paid half the amount you have to keep that evidence with you and rest of the amount can be paid after the cases first hearing because that will be recorded in the court as a proof that you have paid the amount to your wife. for further clarifications kindly call me
