16-Dec-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Both have agreed to take divorce and all my belongings are returned . as discussed already the mutual divorce petition was supposed to be filed in my hometown(wife), but husband and inlaws want me to travel to their place and file petition there. Can I refuse to go as i dont have anyone to accompany me i lost my parents and still he will be able to take divorce even if I don't go there?

Dear Madam, Without your consent your husband cannot get divorce. If your husband files any divorce petition in any other State then never neglect and appoint online advocate to represent you before that Family Court and file a Transfer Petition before the Supreme Court for transferring such Divorce case to your native place.

you can ask your husband to arrange for accommodation and advocate so that you need not worry . if you do not come then he cannot take mutual divorce. he need to file contesting case and it will take time .
