Minors surname change after divorce

I am divorced and have some custody of my 12 yr old daughter. The father has visitation rights which should not disrupt the kids schedule. I want to know if I can change my kids surname officially to mine without father's consent as they have no role in her upbringing

You cannot unilaterally change a minor child’s surname without the father’s consent if he has visitation/parental rights. You must seek permission from the Family Court, which will decide based on the child’s welfare.

yes you can do it easily you need to fill out a gazette form and submit it online, on the official website of Government of Maharashtra aaplesarkar mahaoline website and share the details you will get the gazzette within 20-24 days and on the basis of that you can name change everywhere
