Mentally torturous husband not ready to give me mutual divorce

03-Dec-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Got married on 23rd feb 2017,I was already seeing his actions- terribly controlling, demeaning, suspicious in very step, maipulator, gaslighter, no values matched but showed things to trap to reveal true nature later, like want to do something in career but they controlled to literally isolate me etc. So I wanted to break the marriage but family didn't support me bcz of the relative prestige as they were already invited. Still I tried but nothing worked. I left him on 29th june 2018, after that I tried for job, but at that time many companies were not hiring IT student, I did b-tech in IT, bcz of all the failures I fell in depression & also surffered from relationship trauma(relationship PTSD). My family never supported but taunted me like "go to your own house". When was in severe depression, family made me understood he changed, I went back(24th Dec, 2020), nothing chnaged,I again left on 16th Aug, 2021. Wish could write more, was getting ready financially, now how to proceed?

sorry to hear about the ordeal. if you want to come out of the matrimonial relationship then the best way is to file a divorce suit and also claim maintenance if you want. since you have left him it would be important for you to prove that you have been compelled to leave because of his cruelty. finance will not be an issue since as a lady you will be entitled to free legal aid. you can avail that if you want. regards, Tanmoy Chattopadhyay, M.Sc (Net), LL.B (Delhi), Advocate, High Court, Calcutta.
