Well, if your Sister has become fed up, so she must take a Divorce, else she can apply for Judicial Separation as well, parallely she can file a DV Case under the DV Act, 2005 as per the concerned provisions of law.

If your sister is married and facing the marriage related issue trying going to a marriage counselor rather than advocate, if still both the partners don't get what they want or desire from the marriage, the person can simply go and file for divorce if the person is not able to maintain themself due to any reason, they can file for maintenance, and seek alimony if required, the first step for divorce is legal notice, if the partner is ready for divorce then mutual consent divorce can be done if not then contested divorce will be filed, in the district court or if the person is from Mumbai, Pune then in Family court stating that cruelty and mental torture has been done with the person aggrieved.

1) You can highlight this matter with the elder people in family and identity some common friends who knows both the families & with their help try to solve this problem 2) If still their is no improvement in that case she can send a Legal notice with help of an Advocate seeking Divorce.
