Married in the us and want to divorce in india

24-Apr-2023 (In Divorce Law)
We had a destination wedding and registered our marriage in California, US according to the US law. We had a prenuptial agreements document signed before the marriage. Our marriage was also registered in the foreign marriages act in the Indian consulate. We both are indian citizens and non-NRIs. We have been residing in India since the marriage. Now, my wife is thinking of divorce. Is it possible to get a divorce in india without violating the prenuptial agreements we signed in the US or should we go to the US to get the divorce?

If the marriage took place in India, you can apply for divorce in India. If not, then got can apply for divorce in the US. Since you have executed the contracts in the US, it's possible that you will have to close the contract amicably there itself.

Hello, if you are also willing for divorce then you can go for a mutual consent divorce. so contact me I will assist you further and do the needful. Since you are staying in India it'll be little easier to get the marriage dissolved, if both agree. let me know if you are interested let's take it forward. Thank you
