Maintenance is not automatically granted; it depends on the wife’s financial dependence and standard of living. Since the wife owns land worth ₹40 lakhs, the court may consider her to have sufficient means. However, if she has no regular income from that property and is unable to maintain herself, she may still be entitled to reasonable maintenance, generally between one-fourth to one-third of the husband’s net income, depending on her needs and the husband’s obligations.

Well, How much Maintenance a Wife will get not only depends upon how much the Husband is earning and how many self made properties he has, it all depends upon whether the woman is financially independent on her own or not as well as qualified or literate or not to do the requisite job or business to support her living.

Well, she is not qualified to get Maintenance as she is rich, you already qualified to get maintenance from her, if you prove that there was no fault of your's and she is the one who has illegally deserted you. Infact, before it gets proved, still you can seek maintenance from her based on certain grounds.
