Dear Sir, Under Section Four Hundred Sixty Eight of Criminal Procedure Code, the limitation to file domestic violence is one year since it is punishable with one year imprisonment. There is no limitation for filing civil case like Divorce etc. it has to disclose the recent cause of action. From the date of separation from the spouse will be considered to calculate limitation period.
