Is financial assets mandatory to declare?

Is declaring financial assets mandatory while filing contested divorce? I have spent 17 years working hard to make decent living and now my wife is causing trouble not letting my parents stay with me and she keep asking me to transfer amount I have to her and write property on her name. I am looking to file contested divorce, but wanted to know if its mandatory for assets to be disclosed, as I do not want her or her lawyer to know about it.

Though it is not mandatory to declare while filing for divorce, during the course of the case proceedings it appears She through her lawyer will demand your assets to be declared in which case you will have no other option. I can find a way out if you are filing the case from our office.
