Is depression a ground for annulment of marriage

My friend(Hindu by religion) have file case of annulment on ground of mental illness of his wife. His wife was in depression from 2012 to 2013. He got married in nov. 2017., his wife went into depression after 2 months of marriage and was sent back to maternal home. He filed case in march/ april. The girl have said that she wants to live with Husband and told every thing about her. How much time it takes in getting decree of annulment of marriage, if she contest

A contested proceedings will take a lot of time and generally it ends only when the parties agree to settle the matter on mutually agreeable terms. However, if you have substantial proof in support of your allegation then it will create a pressure on the opposite party and also the process can get speedier when the case is clear in your favour.
