Information about serving divorce notice

How soon can a divorce notice be prepared and served? The notice may be either by mutual consent or from my side citing mental agony.
After preparing, is there a time limit in which it has to be served to the other party and presented / discussed in court?
This is for Hindu marriage.
(Lawyers are requested to not contact on phone. Email is ok)
Hi... in mutual consent there is no question of serving notice to other party because in mutual consent both party have to present at the time of filing petition and if divorce is for contested then court will give minimum one month time to serve the noticed.
