09-Aug-2023 (In Divorce Law)
It’s been 6.5 years if my marriage. Even though my husband is not physically or verbally abusive but he plays lots of mind games, lie ,and disrespects me in front of people. I have told my husband soo many times , he improves for 1 week and again back to same pattern. Im not willing to have his children. I have developed anxiety issues and scared of social gatherings . I have decided to divorce him. But he is again manipulating me. How can I convince him for divorce

If you think that he is manipulating you means he may have some sense in his talks or it may be that you have not fully made up your mind for taking divorce so you are allowing him to manipulate you. If he is not getting convince for mutual consent divorce then you have to file for contested divorce on the basis of ground for divorce available in personal law. And it may happen that once you file contested divorce petition, he may agree for mutual consent divorce by looking into the consequences of legal proceedings for him.

If you are unhappy with your marriage, there is no point continuing it. About convincing your husband, talk to your husband about the issues between you and him and try to resolve it at once. If he can't change for good, ask him to mutually end the marriage since you can't live in the relationship anymore and there is no meaning of continuing an unhappy relationship. By mutually dissolving the marriage, even he can start his new life. For further discussion, you can contact me.

If you think you have tried your best to convince your husband to seek divorce by mutual consent and he is still trying to play mind games with then you can send him a legal notice demanding divorce because of his behavior with you and still if he doesn't respond then you can file petition for obtaining divorce against him.
