if the marriage is done by Hindu rituals and ceremonies but it is not registered in any court or legal authorities and more over husband wife is not staying together for more than 4 years due to husband's misconduct and poor character, is this marriage valid ? and is there need to file divorce?

Absolutely! Non-Registration has nothing to do with validity of marriage. Though you can very well apply for divorce on the grounds of desertion. But filing of divorce case is mandatory. I hope my answer met your query.
