If I don't disclose that I am a divorcee

Hi, my cousin's brother is a divorcee and now looking for a marriage. If he does not disclose that he is a divorcee and marries an unmarried girl, can a girl file a police complaint against my brother before marriage?

yes she can file a complaint/FIR against your cousin brother for a false marriage under the Hindu marriage act simultaneously file a complaint for cheating under the IPC , if your cousin brother does not disclose self a divorcee before marriage .

the girl can file a police complaint before marriage only if she has suffered any loss due to the misrepresentation made by your cousin. however it is necessary to disclose previous marriage to girl as non disclosure would amount to fraud. should you have any questions please feel free to contact me

Sir/Madam, As per my advice after reading your query then yes she can file a police complaint in the concerned police station under section 406/376 indian penal code for committing the offence of criminal breach of trust and rape on false pretext of marraige by hiding the truth of previous marriage.
