A divorce with a child involves both dissolution of marriage and child custody. If it is a mutual consent divorce, it generally takes around 6 months after both parties file consent affidavits before the Family Court. If contested, it may take longer depending on evidence and hearing stages. Custody and child maintenance are decided based on the child’s welfare and your financial stability. I can guide you through the exact procedure, documents, and best legal strategy suitable for your case.

I understand your concern — divorce becomes more sensitive when a child is involved. The process depends on whether it’s mutual consent or contested divorce. If both agree, it usually takes 4-6 months. If it’s contested, it may take longer based on evidence and hearings. You can also request child custody and maintenance for you and your child during the proceedings. The exact cost and duration depend on your case details, but I can guide you clearly once I know whether it’s mutual or contested.
