I have to file a mutual consent divorce

My marriage was occurred on 20th may 2024. I can't live with my husband because of his mental illness. He treated with ocd problems. Can i filed a divorce case this year 2024?

Yes, you can file a divorce petition against your husband before the jurisdictional family court. The applicable law depends on your religion and the nature of your marriage: For Hindus : If your marriage was solemnized according to Hindu religious rites and ceremonies, the divorce petition should be filed under the Hindu Marriage Act. For Christians : If your marriage was solemnized according to Christian religious rites and ceremonies, the petition should be filed under the Indian Divorce Act.
