I have a query related to my Divorce case.
17-Sep-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am from j&k and married at jalandhar Punjab. Now I file sec 9 case against my wife at j&k. And the hearing date is within my state. On that chapter can she file a case at their own place against me.? What to do that all are hearing held in j&k state and all the time they need to come here in j&k for hearing. Pl suggest.
All the cases depends upon jurisdiction . If the marriage solemnised in jammu than jmmu will be its jurisdiction . If it is in solemnised in punjab than courts of punjab have jurisdiction.
