I got married in 2017 but in 2018 she left my house and staying in her own house and abandoned me and told me she won't give me divorce.. it's been more than 5 years still no contact... suddenly a cbi came two weeks back and told me that in January 2022 they filed a separation which has been granted by court on August 2022 and court will give order copy but I have to pay Rs 750 for that and my wife planning to get married again when I asked him whether I can marry or not he said I can marry since it's been more than 5 years and court will hand me the order copy of separation but for that I will have to pay Rs 750...ow I am confused what I am supposed to do...I am a private employee if I file a divorce can she ask me for maintenance?

no no all this is a gimmic please dont fall prey of all this there are ways to handle this entire situation you need a good lawyer who will handle all of this and you just need to sit back and allow your lawyer to process things and it will be your lawyers job to take care of your requests

if she is a working lady then she cannot ask maintenance otherwise she can but depending on the lawyer, if she files a maintenance case against you then the order can be minimal depending upon your advocate's pleadings and submissions.
