I am an Indian born overseas citizen and I got married under Hindu customs last year. My wife is been tormenting from second night that you married me and I am your DUTY now when not even the marriage expenses settled by her side (I felt like I am being married for money). Marriage expenses have been agreed to be split equally but girl's family created issues to settling it. Wife is been talking ill about me and mom behind our back that we been demanding dowry when she is wearing the chain my mom gifted her. It is been told that instead of Stree Dhan for girl, give the money in front of everyone so it will be useful for HER visa (Nothing given, nothing asked after realising them). Every argument she says I am fighting for dowry. All I been asking is to send her overseas which her parents taking a year with no progress. She is not contributing anything to this marriage, she agreed to work but not working or even try. I am emotionally bullied daily. What is the best solution for me?

In marital disputes one needs to come up with a decision as to whether continue with the marriage or get it dissolved. If the said acts of your spouse are intentional with ulterior motive then you need to decide on how to proceed further. At this juncture you can send legal notice through a lawyer to clarify your wife's stand.
