As far as the term maintenance concern a lady can seek maintenance with a purpose to evade starvation and to fulfil her fundamental necessity like clothing, medical expenses. Earning wife can avail maintenance in the case where she used to work to get money for her survival and to avoide such situation where she has no other option rather then involve her self into prostitution to survive.

you can demand maintence from your husband, it depend on the court to decide whether you are entitled or not but certainly you can knock the door of the court for remedy. Maintance case if filed court may grant as per life style u enjoyed

Yes you can demand for maintenance from husband.
Under Section 125 of Criminal Procedure Code ---. Order for maintenance of wives, children and parents. -

(1) If any person leaving sufficient means neglects or refuses to maintain-

(a) His wife, unable to maintain herself, or
(b) “Wife” includes a woman who has been divorced by, or has obtained a divorce from, her husband and has not remarried.
