Husband wants divorce but wife does not

My husband has sent a divorce notice. He is blaming for mental cruelty while all i did was screamed at the top of my voice and cried while he scolded, hit me without even knowing where he is hitting. I told him that I'll complain to police right away (which I didn't as I wanted to save my marriage). In the end he agreed to attend family counseling but stopped at the evaluation stage (initial stage) of the therapy itself. He has mentioned in the petition that I have threatened him & his family that I'll complain to police. What do i do now to save the marriage?

you appoint an advocate and tell him./her that you do not want divorce. In first hearing date when in court ask for mediation:. In mediation tell mediator that its only normal family quarrel. Then if your husband does not agree case will ago back to Court.
