Husband not agreed for mutual divorce.Want to be out of toxic marriage

I’m 29 n married for 1.5 years now. Its an arranged hindu marriage.my husband dint ask me about my past before marriage. I had 2 relationships before, i was betrayed in one n abused in one. I decided to move on n took time before getting married. My husband says he knows about my past n he abuses me physically and verbally always. Twice he has tortured me for dowry. He is very close to his aunt and he calls her almost 20 to 30 times daily, visits her atleast twice a day. when i start questioning this he is threatening that he will tell abt my past to everyone n I should not stop him from being close to her.We are not bound like a husband and wife since the day of marriage. Will my past be an issue for divorce? I am not talking to those guys after breakup.He says he married me coz he can blackmail me about my past n he will continue roaming with his aunt. i don’t suspect anything physical but They hav emotional bonding.he says he cant leave her. What are the legal issues that may arise?
