If you are unable to maintain yourself and do not have sufficient means you can ofcourse pray for maintenance; and if the husband is dependent on father's income and he married on the basis of that you should certainly pray for maintenance from your husband who should pay it from father estate. Yes maintenance can be claimed .If the businesses are run by family members . The purpose of blackmailing is not clear . However police complain can be lodged . Child is minor so definitely father has to compensate .
