Husband abusing & beating wife during an argument, valid for divorce?

24-May-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My husband has hyper anger. Whenever, we had argument on some issue, he cannot control his anger, shouts very loudly, hits his head to wall, breaks hard things around. I was very scared and shocked in initial days, later got adjusted to his behavior for 5 years. I have been very patient. But, recently, he had used very abusive word towards me and has beaten me hard. I was totally shocked and I also started abusing him and as to defend, I also beat him. This is the first time, I experienced abusive words and violence from him, which I want it to be the last time. Though, he apologized me about the incident, I cannot trust on his hyper anger. Because, we may get more arguments in future, where I cannot expect to which extent his anger would go next time. Can I go ahead to file Divorce?
