How to file counter case against husband for harassment

Wish to counter my husband's case as it was he who does not want to live with me. He cheated me, he is alcoholic and a chain smoker and his family kept the gold given by my family. Can I ignore the letter sent to me by him (to be there on a given date)? And can I appeal against him and ask for compensation the stress he and his family has given.

You need to clarify what letter he has sent you? Secondly you can file a case of Divorce against him in the family Court. You can also claim maintenance from him in case you are not a working women. there are a lot of provisions in law which can help you move ahead in life

if he is cheated u, alcoholic, then u can go directly police station and register your complain. they register your complain under section 498 domestic violance act, if police can not tace complain then u can go directly family court or civil court and file your complain on court.court will see your case and appoint a investigation officer. u have all legal option against your husband., u can tace your gold by legal procudure, u can tace all comensation as per section 125.

If u r married your husband has a legal remedy in the form of restitution of conjugal right. You have not mentioned which type of case is file d by yr husband. The grounds mentioned by you are not tenable.
