How to claim maintenance from my husband

11-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My husband is planning on leaving me and my 17 yr old daughter. I have no financial support except for the 12000 I earn. How do I support us and pay for my daughter's education? How long does the procedure take.

This is my response to you:
1. If you want your husband to stay with you then file for Restitution of Conjugal Rights;
2. In the meanwhile you can file for interim maintenance for your 17 year old daughter;
3. You can also seek maintenance for yourself since you earn less than him;
4. Approaching the court is the best option;
5. The court will send you to mediation to sort out your personal differences for the sake of your marriage and for the welfare of your daughter.

File a case in metropolitan magistrate court or family court u/s 125 CrPC for claiming maintenance for itself and minor daughter immediately. If daughter is 18 she won't be able to claim so better take order or atleast file the case before she is 18.

Dear Madam,
Firstly has your husband Applied for divorce. Also in case he leaves you and your child an Application for maintenance will have to be filed by an advocate In the court. It will not take a long time for the procedure if the maintenance is reasonable
