To find out if someone is divorced in India, the most reliable method is to check court records, as divorce decrees are public documents. You can use the eCourts Services website or mobile app by entering details like the case number, parties? names, or registration year. If you don?t have those details, consulting a lawyer can help lawyers can search records in family courts or district courts where the divorce may have been filed.

If you're trying to be discreet, social media clues or direct communication might offer hints, but for formal verification, official court documents are your best bet.

You can ask the person to show the decree of divorce. From personal details, you can check his divorce status from the concerned High Court's website or the National Data Grid. For example, from the Punjab and Haryana High Court website, you can search using his name under case status, etc.

To know the status of the party, you need to check with the courts having proper jurisdiction. This is the work of a lawyer—you need to meet a lawyer in the court, as only they can verify it from the court records after obtaining the necessary particulars. You can meet any of us for assistance.
