how much court grants for maintenance and alimony depends on your legit needs and expenses. If you are considering mutual consent divorce, take into consideration future expenses of the girl child. Also considering the lifestyle that you may be enjoying , you should be able to negotiate a reasonable sum for your immediate future needs and expenses. we would be able to negotiate and finalise terms of your mutual consent divorce on your behalf

Dear Queriest, as per your query you have mentioned that you both are earning and also decided to go for mutual consent divorce but on the condition that he should pay the maintenance to you, but he is not ready for the same, since if the conditions are not fulfilled the chances are not possible that you can file mutual divorce. please feel free to contact me on my phone for more information about the same.

In case you and your husband are going for mutual divorce, both the parties have to sign consent terms wherein a reasonable amount of maintenance is agreed mutually apart from child custody, division of property, etc. Hence if you both wish to opt for mutual divorce, you have to sit and sort out things amongst yourselves so that the same can be agreed in mutual divorce petition. However, if you wish to demand maintenance against his will, then you need to file a contested divorce wherein notice would be issued to him and matter would proceed.
