How long it will take to get ex-parte divorce

23-Feb-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My wife has a daughter before marriage which she did not tell me and my family but her family knew this from the very beginning. She and her family being very influential (she works in a very good company on a very higher position) started torching me so i left the house and started living in a pg and she took over the place and all the assets and started living with her daughter. Two years back i filed a divorce case against her and sent 3 summons but she didn't come then court ordered to publish in a newspaper and send her copy i did that also then too she did not turn up. In Jan 2017 the court passed the ex parte order but gave me a date of June 2017 to submit the ex parte evidences. Now i want to know how many steps are pending in getting the final divorce and how much time it will take?

Hi, Your divorce should not take long. On next date of hearing you file the evidences. If the presiding officer is there your evidence would be recorded and the case will be fixed for argument and followed by order. May be two-three hearing more. However, you can ask your lawyer to put up an application for expedite hearing.

After your evidence is over the court will keep it for arguments. Thereafter the court shall reserve its judgment and pronounce it in a short while. However due to pendancy of cases it would still take about 2-6 months
