Well, you can get the Chargesheet either from Court or from Police by either filing an Application or RTI under the RTI Act, 2005. If you want Chargesheet from Court, mere application will do, attached with Court fees. On payment of Court fees, within few days, you can get the Certified Copy of Chargesheet!

Dear client based on your query, where investigatory disclosure is withheld, procedural recourse may lie in seeking certified access through the cognizant court’s administrative jurisdiction, also to ease the matter we can help you regard the process and in legal ways for which you can connect with us.

You can get a copy of the chargesheet from the Court itself. You can make an application in court seeking a copy of chargesheet. Feel free to contact me for seeking any legal advice/assistance as regards the same.

if the chargesheet has been filed by the police on 8th May 2025 and the Investigating Officer (IO) is refusing to provide a copy, directing you to obtain it from the court, you have the legal right to access it through proper procedure. Here's what you can do: File an Application Before the Concerned Court: Submit a simple written application under Section 207 of the CrPC (if you're the accused), requesting a certified copy of the chargesheet. Mention the case details clearly. Apply Through Court’s Certified Copy Section: If the chargesheet has been filed and numbered, you can approach the Copying Section (Certified Copy Department) of the court with a written application and nominal fee. Engage an Advocate: If you haven't already, your advocate can inspect the file and apply for a certified copy on your behalf, which often speeds up the process. Note: You are legally entitled to receive a copy of the chargesheet once it is filed and taken on record by the court. The IO is not obligated to hand it to you directly.
