28-Sep-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Received HMOP notice from husbands lawyer. Court has requested to appear in person or through an advocate. What is the next course of action? Will the court force me to to stay with my alcoholic and abusive husband?

No, the court cannot force you to stay with a person who is abusive

At 1st, you have to appear in person on the specific date, that the court has summoned you to be present before it; and on the subsequent hearings, it would be better if you find a divorce attorney in your locality to handle this issue expeditiously.

You have to rationally explain the discordances and the temperamental disputes between you and your husband, and try to evidently prove that the martial relationship with him was turned into toxic, and it mentally as well physically causes you several mental agony.
