Guidance on appeal period and compliance with Family Court alimony ord

18-Nov-2025 (In Divorce Law)
am seeking your advice regarding procedures and compliance related to a Family Court judgment for lump-sum permanent alimony. I have two main questions: 1. What is the standard limitation period for filing an appeal against a Family Court order granting permanent alimony under the Hindu Marriage Act? 2. If the petitioner is required to provide bank account details for receiving alimony and does not respond, what is considered a reasonable legal step for the respondent

1. That the family court order can be challenged in The Hon'ble High Court by filing Criminal Revision (Family Court) { CRR(F) } and the limitation is 90 days. if is there any order which is to be challenge in appeal then the limitation is 30 days. Further 99% order of the Family Court are challenged by Criminal Revision. and the order of Permanent Alimony or Maintenance can onky be challenged vide Criminal Revision with limitation of 90 days. 2. If the petition is not providing his bank details even after giving the directions of the court, then the court even itself can attach the baink details by giving direction to the bank or the same can be done by filing or moving an application in the same court.

you need to show me the final judgement before asking any legal help. if it's mention that between this time period you need to arrange certain amount of money then you have to arrange it according to that . otherwise 90 days period is there for filing an appeal.
