Yes, you can file for divorce. Since it’s a Christian marriage, divorce is governed by the: ✝️ Indian Divorce Act, 1869 You must approach the District Court / Family Court, not church authorities. Grounds on which divorce can be filed Some common legal grounds: Desertion (living separately for 2+ years) Cruelty (mental or physical) Adultery Conversion Unsoundness of mind Mutual consent (if both agree)

A marriage can be dissolved only through a legal divorce decree. If both spouses agree, mutual consent divorce is the quickest option. If there is no consent, a contested divorce may be filed on legally recognised grounds. Please note that engagement does not end the marriage, and remarriage before the divorce is final can lead to legal consequences. You may consult a family lawyer to understand the best course as per your facts.

if your first wife is ready to fill the mutual divorce then it can be possible if she is not ready then she can file maintenance applications agents you after your contesting divorce application and in that application which is filled by you she can give maintenance application also so it's better to file mutual divorce
