Filing divorce petition without petitioner knowledge

My wife filed divorce petition in her home town mentioning me as petitioner without my knowledge by forging my signature. Where should I file police complaint. In place where I live or place of petition filed.
You can file the police complaint at the place where you stay so that it becomes more difficult for the party who has forged your signature to fight the case. Fraud amounts to criminal charge upon the person who has done it which can be easily proved provided you have the copy of the petition where your signature has been put.
