you both have to approach praying for divorce by mutual consent in an appropriate court of law. After numbered, there will be a cooling period of 6 months and until then you both have to wait for a decree of divorce but, nowadays the cooling period can be waived. hence you can obtain divorce with in a week to 3 weeks (subject to conditions) after filling the petition. As to costs, it is matter in between you parties and your advocate and depends on your place.
