False dowry case filed by my sister in law on my whole family

05-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am the youngest sister of my brother whose wife has filed two dowry cases on all of us. I just want my name to be removed from it because I am not able to bear this and am feeling depressed because of this. Please tell me what can I do, because I feel like this situation is not in my hand.

If your sister-in-law has already filed a case against you then in your reply you should mention that you have nothing to do with the offences as alleged by her. And if you have got some evidence regarding this then it's advisable to file it along with the reply. It's just a matter of arguments in the court. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Greetings to you. In order to be able to advice you better, we would require the copy of the complaint or the Chargesheet mentioning your role. There are some methods including quashing of your name from the case that can be done.

Well Firstly we need to understand if we are talking about an FIR being filed against you guys or a domestic violence case under sec 12 of DV Act? As both have to be dealt differently. you may call me to consult.

you can file an application for discharge from the case. there are certain conditions which need to be fulfilled before making a person a party to dowry cases. if these conditions are not met against you the court will remove your name from the dowry case. in the alternative you can also file counter cases against sister in law such as domestic violence etc. I can help you get relief in this matter. please feel free to contact me incase of any queries.
