Extension on reply against IPC 13(a)

Hi, My husband has filed 13 IPC against me and I need to file a reply however I am yet to decide on lawyer, how can I get an extension before my next hearing date which is after my response /reply date?

You can always take an excuse that you are yet to decide upon the lawyer and you are still looking for the same. After that you need to file a para wise reply/WS to the allegations that are levied upon by your husband against you. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Greetings of the day Your query is not clear as to what sort of complaint your spouse has filed to Which you wish to reply. You need to elaborate your query. Would advise you to seek a detailed legal consultation from a lawyer and formulate a strategy going forward. Do clarify it is under IPC or Hindu Marriage Act.

It is advisable not to take that chance of extension as the court may or may not allow it if you were served with the petition atleast 30 days before your next date of hearing. Drafting a reply is an important task which will decide the fate of your case. If you wish you may consult me in that regard.

You can request the court to grant some time for the filing of the reply as you have not found any lawyer yet. However the limitation for filing the reply in a divorce case is 90 days from the date of summons received by you. So the court may allow you for the next date but can put some cost over you. It’s not section 13 ipc it’s section 13 of HMA. Even in order to take a date from the court you need to hire expert advocate …kindly b in touch to discuss this matter and proceed further Thanks for your concern
