Exception for marriage when the bride is pregnant

05-Jul-2024 (In Divorce Law)
I am above 21years old but my groom is 20.5 years old. I am pregnant and this is my 8th month of pregnancy. We would want to get married before our child is born. Could you please tell me if there is any exceptions in special marriage act? The groom is Christian and I follow Christianity but not yet Baptised.

Sadly there is no exception regarding the age of marriage. The law is very strict and stern on this age of consent. You should have been more careful and cautious. Regards

There is no restriction for you to get married. You can get married under the Christian Marriage Act or the Special' Marriage Act even if you are pregnant or had given birth. Hence, it is absolutely legal for you to get married as per the law. I don't think Baptism has anything to do with this.
